Sharing With Friends

My Young Child Story Book

Story by Nancy Battista Morgan

Having friends is fun
Sharing is for when there’s more than one.

Sometimes a friend has a new toy you see,
And you think, “I want that for me!”

When your friend is hard at play,
You may feel like taking his toy away.

But when you don’t share,
Friends think you don’t care.

If you want something your friend has, here’s what to do:
Say: “Please, can I see it too?”

Take turns with toys or books.
First one plays, while the other looks.

When you share, you have more friends,
Which is better in the end.

Sharing makes you feel good
Because you know you’re doing what you should.
